Isidora Fairhurst Interview | Sky’s Then You Run

ISIDORA FAIRHURST is currently starring in Then You Run on Sky Max and NOW.

We caught up with Isidora Fairhurst to talk about her new role.

What can audiences expect from Then You Run?

ISIDORA FAIRHURST: There are four girls from London on the run from Irish gangsters throughout Europe. All the while, there’s a serial killer on the loose. It’s Tarantino meets Guy Ritchie meets a dark Swedish serial killer drama meets Derry Girls.

What do you think is your character’s ultimate goal?

Nessi’s goal is to keep the girls together, hard at times with the situations they’re in but their friendship and sisterhood is what gets them through the mayhem.

Can you recall any funny moments from on-set filming?

We all had a great time together on and off set. I remember dying with laughter when me and Yasmin scootered to set on time, I think the cobbled streets made it even funnier because you feel like your brain is rattling.

As an actor, what are you still trying to learn?

Good question…I guess I’m still learning to not judge ‘negative’ emotions and understanding we all have darkness within us.

How can you tell when you’re reading a great script?

If I’m laughing out loud and seeing the scenes play out in my head, that’s always a clear sign for me. Also, if I’m able to read it in one sitting, that’s a green flag.

When did you begin to see acting as a potential career avenue?

When I was 15, I was at an acting company called RAaW London, and there I was able to meet some incredible people that I consider my family now. At that time, we all encouraged each other to go for the acting route and it has really worked out for us. I feel very lucky to have had the right people around me.

How important is social media to you right now?

I have a weird relationship with social media. There are pro’s and con’s with it like most things. At the moment, I have my social media apps deleted and only download them occasionally because I’m very aware of getting lost in the digital world and its illusions. But also, I love getting inspired by what others are doing and giggling over dumb memes.

What’s the biggest realisation you’ve had this past year?

That discipline really is an act of self love.

Everyone seems to have an app idea at the moment, what’s yours?

I don’t, but I did bring this up to my brother and he said there should be an app called Then You Run, where you keep track of a route you’ve run and then send it to others for them to copy.

What makes you feel nostalgic?

Any song from Tinie Tempah’s Disc-Overy.

All episodes of Then You Run are available to watch now on Sky Max and NOW.
