QUINN XCII has just released his sophomore album From Michigan With Love. To support it, the genre-bending artist also embarked on a headlining world tour, consisting of 39-shows.
As someone who wasn’t familiar with Quinn XCII, I didn’t know what to expect heading into his show at the O2 Academy in Islington, London. The show began with the same exhilarating party energy it ended with, owing to Quinn’s natural stage presence. He didn’t take a break, not even once. Holding the crowd as he moved from new releases like Sad Still and Autopilot, to fan favourites like Straightjacket and Always Been You.
The diversity of the audience was incredible, all hard-core fans of the artist from Michigan. Looking around, it was difficult to find someone who didn’t have their eyes glued to the stage, singing along to every word. The stage was lit with exuberant colours, feeling like a party on the bigger songs and mellowing down to suit the more intimate ones.
Quinn XCII recently shared the music video for the single Life Must Go On, from his latest album From Michigan With Love. In the video, Quinn documents travelling across America, to play his new album for some of his biggest fans – ten days prior to its release.
